Petro is a member of National Board of Accountants and Auditors as CPA (T) since 2016, registered as a Certified Public Accountant (Graduate Accountant) with number GA-7291. He also holds Bachelor of Accountancy in Business Accounting and Finance (BAF) from Mzumbe University.

Prior to joining Premier Plus Associates, Petro worked with VA Business Assurance Services for six (6) years in various positions from Assistant auditor to Head of Audit and Assurance services. He also worked with TANESCO Iringa as Accounting intern in the year 2014.

As an auditor, he has successful participated in various audits from different industries such as hotel & tourism, government entities (on behalf of Controller and Auditor General), NGOs and donor funded projects, Mining, construction and Higher learning institutions where he gained adequate experience in audit, accounting and tax matters. While at VA Business Assurance Services, he successfully led the audit teams (as senior audit manager) for audits of government agencies on behalf of Controller and Auditor General (CAG) including Arusha Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (AUWSA), Babati Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (BAWASA), Arusha Sustainable Water Delivery Project (Funded by African Development Bank), Mwalimu Nyerere University of Agriculture and Technology, AFD Core accounts (funded by European Bank).

Also, he led the teams to perform joint-audit with international audit firms including Hall Chadwick Australia (for audit of Tancoal energy Limited, Intra Energy Tanzanial Limited, a subsidiary of Intra Energy Corporation based in Australia and Tanzacoal East Africa Ltd) and Grant Thornton India (for audit of Greenlight Planet Tanzania ltd, a subsidiary of Greenlight Planet Inc, based in India).
